Ringatoi: Ngatuere Matakatea (Te Arawa, Muaūpoko, Taranaki)
This piece is part of a set of three called Te Whare Atua. Tāne Te Waiora specifically speaks to the creation of life from the beginning, the creation of Hineahuone by Tāne at Kurawaka with his waiora. Then we as humans follow the same kawa of these atua in the creation of human life by the process of whakatō wairua thus creating offspring, whakapapa and the continuation of tomorrow.
